Earlier we did a release on AIDS and HIV infection, a link to which you will find at the end of this video. And in this we will tell about dissidents who claim that such diseases do not exist.
Our country is the third in the world in the number of new cases of human immunodeficiency virus infection. Only South Africa and Nigeria are ahead of Russia. That such data was published by the UN in 2017. This happens, including due to AIDS dissidents who disbelieve in the existence of infection and as a result are not protected during sexual intercourse. These same people refuse to treat their children. One of these cases occurred in 2017, when adoptive parents did not treat a child infected with HIV, claiming that they could not do this for religious reasons, and AIDS is a conspiracy created for making money. As a result, on August 26, the child died, and the Investigation Committee of St. Petersburg opened a criminal case.
The ideas of HIV dissidence were quite popular in the 80s of the last century in Germany, the United States and other developed countries, but this moment Russia is only gaining momentum on this issue, including through public figures. Perhaps the most famous is the statement by Alexander Gordon on the “Gordon Quixote” program on Channel One. This man, despite his huge audience and apparent education, said that HIV and AIDS do not exist. And millions of people believed it.
Surprisingly, despite the AIDS epidemic raging in our country, various religious organizations are opposed to sex education in schools, as well as the use of condoms. And for example, in South Africa, where things are very bad, the country’s president officially denies the existence of HIV and does not allow international medical organizations into the country, defending the interests of witches – the main opponents of the development of science in Africa.
In conclusion, we would like to say that, despite the development of science, only in 2017, there were 11 cases of dissidence by parents of HIV-infected children, four of whom could not be saved. The number of adults who refuse immunotherapy is in the thousands, and this despite the fact that it makes it possible to prolong the life of a sick person for dozens of years.
