In the process of human life, the cells of the body wear out, and the production of melanin stops, as a result, the hair may become discolored, becoming gray. Biologists say that the appearance of gray in 90% of cases due to heredity, because if the hair of your parents over time bleached, with a high probability you are waiting for the same fate. Moreover, scientists from University College London managed to detect a particular IRF4 gene, thanks to which this is happening.
Of course, many of you know the expression “turn gray from fear” and it really takes place in modern science, where this phenomenon is called “Marie-Antoinette’s syndrome.” According to the legend, which gave the name to the work of scientists, the queen of France at the age of 37 fully sat in the night before she was beheaded. Scientists insist that as a result of severe stress, human DNA structures are disrupted, as a result, the state of health worsens and chronic diseases wake up, which, among other things, can affect pigmented hair. At the same time, the very mechanisms of DNA damage and methods of controlling these processes are still not known.
The onset of color loss usually begins around 30 years from the scalp, and then can occur on the bristles and other parts of the body. Studies show that 60% of the world’s population already has a pigment deficit in their hair by the age of 40, and by 50 this figure rises to 86%. If we talk about hair color, then according to statistics, the first turn gray and redheads, but with blondes it happens much less frequently.
In conclusion, we would like to say that, despite the constant work of finding a cure, the medicine for gray hair has not yet been invented. But as a prevention, scientists recommend increasing intake of vitamins A, B, and C, as well as leaning on foods high in protein, iron, and zinc.
